Bluegem II LP acquires a majority stake in Dr. Vranjes Firenze, a global luxury home fragrance brand based in Florence, Italy.

      

Bluegem is pleased to announce the acquisition of a 70% stake in Dr. Vranjes Firenze, a producer and marketer of best-in-class branded home diffusers, candles and similar products.

Founded by pharmacist Dr. Paolo Vranjes in Florence, Italy, in 1983, the brand has become globally known for its unique quality and range of in-house developed scents. Its iconic reed diffuser bottles, resembling the shape of the Brunelleschi Dome of the Florence Cathedral, are sold in over 70 countries today, and are available at 14 mono-brand stores, at luxury department stores as well as various home shops and perfumeries. Dr. Paolo Vranjes will continue to be the so-called “nose” of the company going forward and will also remain CEO.

With Bluegem’s support, Dr. Vranjes Firenze will seek to capitalize on significant growth opportunities in the global home fragrance market.
