1. WHAT ENVIRONMENTAL AND/OR SOCIAL CHARACTERISTICS ARE PROMOTED BY THE FUND?
The Fund promotes social characteristics by working with portfolio companies to improve their "Workplace" rating as measured in accordance with Bluegem's proprietary ESG Rating system, developed together with a firm of internationally recognised accountants.

If the portfolio company's Workplace score at the time of investment is assessed by Bluegem to be below "good market practice" level, Bluegem will engage with the portfolio company to improve its policies, procedures and processes with a view to the portfolio company improving its Workplace score by at least 5% every year over the previous year's score until "good market practice" level is achieved.
The Fund will also promote good governance by working similarly with portfolio companies to improve their "Governance" rating by at least 5% every year over the previous year's score until they achieve "good market practice" level. In Bluegem's proprietary ESG Rating system, the Governance score measures factors such as board accountability, board level review of ESG metrics and ESG performance, anti-bribery and corruption, internal audit, and internal and external ESG reporting.
